About the Package

A turnkey transfer system engineered for ammonia

Built on six decades of hands-on ammonia handling, our transfer packages move product from rail, road, or bulk storage into your process safely, accurately, and with full regulatory cover.

Jaysons Projects designs and delivers ammonia transfer systems that connect every node of your handling chain — from unloading bays to day tanks to the process battery limit. Each package is built around the unique pressure, temperature and throughput profile of the site, and is sized so that operations, maintenance, and emergency response all work the way they should.

Our scope starts with feasibility and basic engineering and runs through detailed design, procurement, fabrication oversight, installation supervision, and commissioning. We integrate DCS-based control philosophy, vapour recovery, emergency isolation valves, and remote-operated shutdown logic, all aligned with PESO, OISD, and applicable international codes for anhydrous ammonia service.

Because we also manufacture and transport ammonia ourselves, the equipment we specify is the equipment we trust in our own plants. That operating perspective — what fails, what scales, what regulators actually accept — is what clients get when they engage us for a transfer package.

    FAQs

    Frequently asked questions

What does the Ammonia Transfer Package include?
The package covers the complete ammonia handling envelope — storage tanks, unloading stations, piping networks, DCS-based controls, pumps, compressors, vapour handling, and the safety systems that go around them. Scope is finalised after a site walkthrough and basic engineering review.
How long does a typical project take from kickoff to commissioning?
A standard transfer package runs 6–10 months depending on capacity, statutory approvals, and equipment lead times. We share a detailed Level-3 schedule with milestone reviews after the basic engineering phase.
Do you handle PESO and SMPV approvals?
Yes — PESO application drafting, documentation, system design alignment with SMPV rules, and coordination with regulatory authorities is part of our standard scope.
Can the package be retrofitted to an existing plant?
Absolutely. A significant share of our work is brownfield. We start with an as-built survey, HAZOP of the existing system, and a tie-in study before finalising the retrofit design.
What capacity range do you typically design for?
From small day-tank transfer systems of a few metric tonnes up to multi-stage bullet storage installations of 200+ MT. We size pumps, compressors and piping to match throughput, not just inventory.
Do you supply the equipment or only the engineering?
Either — clients can engage us for engineering and procurement support only, or for a full turnkey EPC including equipment supply, installation supervision, and commissioning.
    Is operator training included?
Yes. Every commissioning includes operator training on normal operations, startup/shutdown procedures, emergency response, and DCS interaction. Refresher modules can be scheduled annually.

Why an integrated transfer package matters for ammonia handling

Anhydrous ammonia is one of the most useful industrial chemicals in modern manufacturing — and one of the most demanding to handle. It moves between pressure and temperature regimes that punish poor design choices, and it reacts with materials and operator errors in ways that show up months after commissioning. Treating storage, transfer, and safety as three separate procurements is where most ammonia projects quietly accumulate risk.

An integrated transfer package brings those three layers under one engineering philosophy. Tank design, piping stress, control logic, vapour handling and emergency isolation are all sized against the same throughput model, the same operating envelope, and the same HAZOP outcomes. That coherence is what makes the difference between a system that runs for a decade with predictable maintenance and one that surfaces a fresh issue every quarter.

The Jaysons Projects approach is grounded in operating reality. We don't just specify equipment from a catalogue — we specify equipment we've watched run in our own plants and in our customers' plants over the last sixty years. We've seen what fails, what corrodes, what trips spuriously in monsoon conditions, and what regulators in different Indian states actually want to see in a PESO file. That knowledge shapes every package we deliver.

Whether you're a fertilizer plant adding a new unloading bay, a cement plant rolling out a DeNOx programme, a refrigeration facility upgrading from cylinder to bulk storage, or a green ammonia developer building out a terminal, the underlying engineering question is the same: how do we move ammonia from where it arrives to where it's consumed, safely and on spec, every time? That's the question this package is built to answer.

If you'd like to talk through a specific site or scope, the fastest path is a 30-minute call with our engineering team. We'll listen first, ask the questions that matter, and tell you honestly whether the transfer package is the right fit for your situation — or whether something narrower like our equipment supply or safety package is a better starting point.
